How do I send a Mail Merge email to my customers or clients?

With Cloze, you can send a personalized email to your customers or any Stage, Segment or tag you choose. In the example below you will see how to send a Mail Merge email to your potential clients.

This feature is designed to help you send a personalized note to multiple people at once, not replace an email marketing tool like ActivePipe or Mailchimp (Tip: You can connect Mailchimp to Cloze too). Each person will receive their own email delivered by your email service just like if you sent a single message.

1.) Navigate to the People section and tap on the funnel icon to make your selection.

In this example select we are selecting the Potential Stage and Clients Segment.

2.) Scroll to the bottom of your selected contacts and tap on a checkmark next to one of the names to display the menu along the bottom of the screen.

Then tap on the checkmark along the bottom of the screen to select all of your Potential Clients.

Please note that many email providers limit the number of emails you can send per day. For example Google's G Suite limits you to 2,000 emails per day. Consumer Gmail accounts are limited to 500 emails per day. GoDaddy limits sending to 250 emails per day.

You can email as many as 500 contacts at a time. To select more than the first 50 contacts that are loaded please continue to scroll down until you have reached 500 contacts

Note: In this example 73 contacts have been selected. As you scroll down Cloze will load more contacts. 50 contacts will be loaded into the screen at a time, so if you are emailing many contacts, please make sure to scroll to bottom so that all contacts have been loaded and then tap on the select-all check mark.

3.) Tap on the Mail icon at the bottom of the screen and then select "Mail Merge To".

4.) The email composer will then show all of the people you have selected in the "To:" line. Tap on Review for additional options to send your email.

Tip: The greeting ("Hi Dana") will rotate through each of the names from the people included in the "To:" line so you can see how it will look for each recipient before you send the email.
