Does Cloze support Gmail and Google Workspace email aliases?

Yes!

Gmail and Google Workspace Gmail lets you send emails as if they're coming from a different address, while still using your main email account. Cloze supports this option too.

What does sending from an alias mean?

You’re logged into your main email (e.g., alex@example.org), but you can choose to send a message from another address, like:

  • info@example.org
  • sales@example.org
  • team@example.org

To the recipient, the email appears to come from the alias, not your primary address.

How an alias works

  • An alias is configured on your account (through your provider — e.g., Gmail).
  • You compose a new email, and in the “From” field, you select the alias (e.g. team@example.org).
  • The email is sent using that alias address, and replies come back to your main inbox (e.g., alex@example.org).

⚠️ You must set up your Gmail alias first:

Send emails from a different address or alias with Cloze

1.) Tap on More (...) in the lower right of your screen on mobile (iOS/Android) and lower left on cloze.com.

2.) Tap on Settings

3.) Tap on Connected Accounts to expand the section. Then click on the settings (gear) next to email address to which you are adding the alias.

4.) Enter your Email Alias and tap on the OK button.

5.) Once added, you can then select your email alias account in the email composer.
