How do I format an email in Cloze?

Cloze provides several options for formatting your email along the bottom of the email composer. Please note due to screen size limitations there are several more formatting options on cloze.com and tablets. On the Cloze phone app, tap on the ΒΆ symbol to see more options.

Tip: If you are cutting and pasting content into Cloze it is recommended that you paste as plain text and then use various options to format your email. This will ensure that your email is formatted correctly on the widest number of email clients. 

How to format text in an email in Cloze

  1. Highlight any text you wish to format. 
  2. Select the appropriate formatting option. 

On Web / Tablet

New Design

  1. Multi-option: Styles (H1, H2, H3 etc...), alignment, bullets, numbers, indent
  2. Bold, italics, underline
  3. Styles (H1, H2, H3 etc..)
  4. Text color
  5. Highlight text color (change the background color)
  6. Text size
  7. Font type
  8. Clear formatting 
  9. Bullet and number lists
  10. Indent and reduce indent 
  11. Add or remove hyperlink
  12. Smart edit and Ghostwriter
  13. Insert an image, snippet, merge fields, and other items (like YouTube and BombBomb videos).

Text Color

Cloze includes a default color palette or you can tap on the + icon to enter a custom color code.

Text Size

Size your text in a variety of options.

Font Type

Use a variety of email-safe fonts.

Highlight Text (change the background color)

  1. Highlight any text you wish to format. 
  2. Select the background color icon. 
  3. Select the color you wish to use. 

Insert

New Design

Tap on the + icon to insert an image, snippet, merge fields, and other items (like YouTube and BombBomb videos). 

Classic Design

Tap on the + icon to insert an image, snippet, merge fields, and other items (like BombBomb videos). 

Align Text

Alight text left, center, and right.
