How do I customize my Project, Property or Deal settings?

Note: If you have selected one of our customization options this may be labeled Deal, Property, Project, Sale, Listing, Job, Case, or any label you have set. 

Cloze provides several ways for you to customize your Projects and Deals. 

  • Change Section Labels: Change the default section labels to fit your industry. Examples: Sale, Order, Deal, Opportunity, Transaction, etc.).
    If you are using our Matching Engine feature you may want to change the default section label to the "product" you are brokering. For example: Property, Listing, Job, Car, Yacht, Campaign etc.
     
  • Add Next Steps: Add Next Steps to help you keep track of what you've done and what you have left to do. For example, you might have specific steps you walkthrough for each Active Project. Or in sales, you might follow a specific sales process for Potential Deals. 
     
  • Enable and Add Custom Fields: Custom Fields are especially helpful if you have a common Deal or Project process, but would like to easily segment them by product line, service, or any other custom classification. Custom Fields are highly recommended instead of creating Custom Project/Deals for each product or service you offer
     
  • Create Custom Deals or Projects Segments: Use the Custom Segments to handle less frequent things that you work on, but you want to track separately and have their own Steps.

Please see below to change labels, add Next Steps and create custom Projects (or Property, Deals, etc.) Segments. 

1.) Tap on More (...) in the lower right of your screen on mobile (iOS/Android) and lower left on cloze.com.

2.) Tap on Settings 

3.) Scroll down to the Customizations section and tap on Projects (or Deals or Sales or your custom label) to expand the section. 

4.) Here you can customize your Deals or Projects:

  • Labels: Change the default labels to fit your industry. Examples: Sale, Order, Deal, Project, Listing, Property, Case, Job, Opportunity, Transaction, etc...
  • Conversion - When you convert a person or company from Lead to Potential you have the option to automatically create a Deal (or Project) in one step. Learn more about the convert option here.
  • Stages - Cloze allows you to include or exclude an Active deal stage for Deals (or Projects). Learn more about Deal and Project Stages here.
  • Next Steps: Tap on the gear icon to add Next Steps to your Projects (or Deals). Learn more about adding Next Steps here
  • Custom Fields: Custom Fields are especially helpful if you have a common Deal or Project process, but would like to easily segment them by product line, service, or any other custom classification. Learn more about adding Custom Fields here
  • Custom Projects/Deals/Sale/Case Segments: Use the Custom Segments to handle less frequent things that you work on, but you want to track separately and have their own Next Steps.

5.) Tap on the gear icon to Customize your default Project (or Deal) and add Next Steps.

Tip: Cloze includes five custom Custom Segments to handle less frequent things that you work on, but you want to track separately and have their own Next Steps. 

For example, in Real Estate you will have a different set of Next Steps for a home sale listing versus a home purchase. Each of these has its own unique Steps that need to be tracked.

Each Cloze Plan includes different limits on the number of Custom Segments you can create beyond our default Segments:

  • Pro and Silver Plans: Create and use up to 10 custom segments across People and Deals/Projects/Sales/Cases.
  • Gold Plan: Create and use up to 20 custom Segments across People and Deals/Projects/Sales/Cases.
  • Platinum Plan: Create and use up to 100 custom segments across People and Deals/Projects/Sales/Cases.


Custom Segments are found under the "Other" dropdown.
