How do I set a custom field to appear in a specific Stage?

Custom Fields can appear in one or multiple Stages. This article explains how you can set a custom field to appear for one, multiple, or all Stages.

When creating or editing a Custom Field, you may select specific Stages to ensure your fields are only displayed where they are needed. 

1.) Tap on the More Options menu (...) and then select Settings. 

Mobile: 
  1. Tap on More in the lower right of your screen on mobile (iOS/Android).
  2. Select Settings.

On your computer: 
  1. Tap on More in the lower left of your computer (cloze.com).
  2. Select Settings.

2.) Scroll down to the Customizations section and tap on Custom Fields to expand the section. 

You can create and edit Custom Fields for People, Companies, and Properties (or Projects, Deals, Sales, etc).

3.) Tap on the gear icon next to the section where you wish to add or edit Custom Fields. 

4.) To add or edit:

  1. To add a new custom field, tap on the Add button.
  2. To edit an existing field, tap on the gear icon next to an existing custom field.

In this example, we are updating the Lost Reason custom field.

5.) Scroll down to Stages:

  1. Tap on the funnel icon.
  2. Select or deselect the Stages you want the custom field to appear for.
  3. Tap on "OK" to save your changes.

6.) Tap on "Save" when you are done.


In this example, the Lost Reason field will only appear for contacts in the Lost stage).
