I use AOL Mail. How do I connect my email to Cloze?

AOL requires you to create a third-party app password which you will use to connect your AOL email to Cloze. After you generate this password, you will use it to when connecting your AOL account to Cloze.


Generate an app password

  1. When you log in to your AOL account, tap on your Account and then navigate to Account Security.

  1. Look for the option to "Generate App Password".

  1. Follow the steps to generate the app password:
    1. Tap "Get Started".
    2. Enter in "Cloze" as the name of the app and tap on "Generate password".
    3. Copy and save this app password. You will need it to connect AOL to Cloze.

Connect your AOL email account to Cloze

  1. In your Cloze account:

On Mobile:

  1. Tap on More (...) in the lower right.
  2. Tap on Settings.

On cloze.com:

  1. Tap on More (...) in the lower left.
  2. Tap on Settings.

  1. Under Connected Accounts (tap to expand the section), tap on "Add" and select "Other Mail and Calendar". 

  1. Next to "Other Email" tap on "Add".

  1. On the "Add Other Email" screen:
  1. Enter your AOL email address
  2. Enter the app password that you generated from aol.com
  3. Tap on "Connect"

Once connected, your AOL email address will appear under Connected Accounts.
