How do I set my preferred app for calling?

By default, Cloze will use your mobile provider for calling and texting on your mobile phone. For example, if your mobile provider is AT&T when you tap on a person's phone number in Cloze, the call will dial through the default phone app and use AT&T for the call.

You can change these settings on both the Cloze mobile app and the Cloze desktop web app (via a browser on cloze.com) to use other services like:

  • DialPad
  • Zoom Phone
  • WhatsApp
  • RingCentral
  • Skype
  • and others

Some services like DialPad, Zoom Phone, RingCentral, etc. require a separate subscription.

Once changed, you can initiate a call or text message directly from Cloze using your preferred service.

To enable this option please make the following changes in Settings.

1.) Tap on More (...) in the lower right of your screen on mobile (iOS/Android) and lower left on cloze.com.

2.) Tap on Settings

3.) Scroll down and tap on Calling, Notes, and Maps to expand the section.

4.) Tap on the dropdown in the Calling section and make your selection.

Note: By default, Cloze will use your mobile carrier for calling. You do not need to make changes if you plan to use AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, or any other mobile provider worldwide. Changes here are only needed if you wish to change to a different provider for your calls.

Please note that you can select a different service for each device on which you use Cloze.

If you do not see your provider listed in the dropdown please reach out to support@cloze.com. We're happy to assist.
