How do I map unmapped columns?
After uploading your spreadsheet, if there are unmapped columns that you want to map, tap on "Edit" next to "Edit Mappings".

After tapping on "Edit":
When you import a file into Cloze, Cloze will suggest a mapping however you need to adjust the mappings of columns from your file to a field in Cloze. This screen helps you do that.

1.) To begin mapping unmapped columns, tap on "Mapping for first person" on the right.
In this example, we are mapping a lead source column.
2.) Scroll down to the field in Cloze that you want to match your unmapped column to.
For this example, Lead Source is a custom field so we will scroll down to Custom Fields.
3.) Tap on the + to start mapping.
Depending on what you are mapping, your screen may differ. Because we are adding a Custom Field, we need to choose the Lead Source from the list of custom fields.
4.) Under Values, tap on the + to add values.
5.) After tapping on the + icon, you will need to choose a column. Tap on the dropdown menu where it says "none" and then tap on Unmapped Columns. Tap on the lead source column.
If the values from your spreadsheet exist in Cloze, they will be matched. If they do not exist in Cloze, you will see the rows are highlighted.
6.) Resolve any issues.
In this example, we need to match our imported value of "advertisement" to a value in Cloze.
- Select a value in Cloze (it can be any value, it does not have to match the term).
If the value in Cloze doesn't exist, scroll down to the Other Mappings section:
- Pass Through: If the value doesn't exist in Cloze, it will be created in Cloze but you cannot filter by it.
- Fail Row Import: Any rows where this value appears will be rejected when imported. That row will not be imported into Cloze.
7.) Edit the Default Value
If you have multiple values not in Cloze, you can change the default behavior:
- Pass Through: This will do a pass through for all values; if they do not exist in Cloze, they will be added but you cannot filter by those values.
- Fail Row Import: This will fail any rows that contain values that do not exist in Cloze. That row will not be imported into Cloze.

8.) Tap on Done in the lower left and repeat the process until you have mapped all columns to fields in Cloze.
Tip: Have a column that maps in multiple places in Cloze? When choosing from the list of columns, choose "All Columns".
Once you have mapped all of your columns, tap "Done" until you get back to the Review Mapping screen.
7.) Once on the "Review Mapping" screen, tap on Import and then select one of the following: Dry Run or Import
- If you choose Import, your data is validated and is added to Cloze. Any rejected rows can be downloaded with the reason for rejection. Imported data will be ready for you to work with right away.
- If you choose Dry Run, Cloze will check your mapped columns without importing data. You can download rejected rows with reasons, review them, and fix your mapping or file—or decide to import as is. When you’re ready to import, run the process again and select Import to add your data to Cloze.
