How do I change the Segments in which pick list values will appear?

You can have a Pick List Custom Field that appears in many different Segments, but set the specific values that appear in each Segment. 

For example you may have a Pick List Custom Field called Type with one set of field values in the Client Segment and different set of field values in the Partner Segment.

Here are step-by-step instructions on how to select the Segments in which Custom Field pick list values will appear. 

1.) Tap on the More Options menu (...) and then select Settings.

2.) Scroll down to the Customizations section and tap on Custom Fields to expand the section. 

You can create and edit Custom Fields for People, Companies, and Properties (or Projects, Deals, Sales, etc).

3.) Tap on the gear icon next to the section where you wish to add or edit Custom Fields. 

4.) To add or edit:

In this example, we are updating the Property Type custom field.  

5.) Scroll down to the Pick List values. Tap on the gear icon next to a value.

6.) You can choose which Segments or Property Segments this pick list value appears for by tapping on a dropdown.

7.) Select or unselect the segments you want the pick list value to appear for and then tap on OK.

In this example, the pick list value Apartment will only appear for contacts organized with the Segment of "Renter" or the Property Segments of "Properties" or "Rental Listings".

8.) Tap on Save after making your changes.

You can now see that the Apartment pick list value will only apply to Renters, Properties, and Rental Listings.

The image below shows a comparison between a contact with a Renter segment and a contact with a Buyer segment. The Property Type custom field value "Apartment" appears for "Renter" but not "Buyer".
