Changes to Facebook related to Graph API 2.x

On April 30, 2015, Facebook made a significant change to how you can use your Facebook information in other applications. This change impacts all applications, both large and small, that connect to Facebook. No third-party app will be allowed to access your stream, messages or friends list going forward

Facebook is automatically moving all users to Facebook Graph API 2.0 on April 30, 2015. The Facebook Graph API is how applications are able, with your permission, to interact with Facebook for things like viewing your stream, making comments or posting something new to Facebook. What this means for Cloze users (and all other applications that connect to Facebook) is that after April 30th, you will no longer be able to access your Facebook stream, profile updates, messages and other information in Cloze.

What from Facebook will continue to work in Cloze after April 30, 2015?
  • The ability to post and schedule posts on Facebook Pages
  • Posts and comments on your Facebook pages
  • All Facebook contacts, messages, posts and other information that was imported into Cloze prior to April 30, 2015 will remain in Cloze.

We have been working with Facebook to try and determine the right way to provide you with continued access to the functionality you desire while still abiding by Facebook's terms of use. However, despite our best efforts, there is not much we can do about this new change to provide continued access to your Facebook stream in Cloze. Again, this impacts all applications that connect to Facebook, not just Cloze.

Thank you for your continued support.

Regards,
Dan and Alex
