How do I connect Mailchimp to Cloze?
When connecting your Mailchimp account to Cloze you have two options. You can connect your Mailchimp account to:
- your Cloze team contacts, or
- your own Cloze account
If you select your team, contacts shared by your team with the shared team audience will sync to Mailchimp. For example, contacts that have been assigned to team members and therefore visible in the shared audience will then sync to Mailchimp.
IMPORTANT: Please see step 5 of these instructions. After you connect Mailchimp to Cloze you will need to tap on the gear icon next to Mailchimp to select the specific Stages and Segments you wish to sync to Mailchimp. You will also set the Mailchimp audiences (lists) Cloze contacts will be added to.

In this Setting you will see two sections "Import Lists" and "Export Lists":
- Import Lists - these are the contacts imported from Mailchimp to Cloze
- Export Lists - these are the contacts exported out of Cloze to MailChimp
Scroll down further to set the specific Stages and Segments to export to Mailchimp.
IMPORT CONTACTS: MAILCHIMP AUDIENCE ➔ CLOZE
EXPORT: CLOZE ➔ MAILCHIMP AUDIENCE
When selecting your Export Lists (these are the contacts exported out of Cloze to Mailchimp) we recommend exporting to a single Audience (list).
The contact Stages and Segments you select (see below) will sync to the audiences you select in this section of settings.
Mailchimp highly recommends using ONE primary audience:
If you can, it's best to have one audience that you organize with tags, groups, or segments, rather than maintain multiple audiences in your account. Mailchimp treats all the audiences in your account separately, and billing is based on the total number of subscribed contacts across all your audiences. If you have duplicate contacts across audiences, having one audience could save you money. One audience is also easier to manage and keep clean

Continue to scroll down the menu to set the Cloze Stages and Segments that you wish to sync to Mailchimp. The contacts selected in this section of settings will sync into the audience you select in the Export section (see above). Tap on the Update button when you are done.
