How do I troubleshoot Windows firewall issues?

If your iPhone does not connect to the Cloze Call and Text Sync app via Wi-Fi, your firewall may be interfering. Below are instructions on how to troubleshoot Windows firewall issues.  If you have a Mac computer please check here.

Windows Firewall

Firewall settings are found in Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Firewall.

1.) Open the Control Panel.

2.) Click on System and Security.

3.) Select Windows Defender Firewall

4.) Select Advanced Settings.

5.) Select Inbound Rules and then look for Bonjour Service, Cloze Call and Sync.exe, and iTunes. All three should be set to Allow (like in the screenshots below).

Also, check to make sure that the Status for Apple Mobile Device Service and Bonjour are Running, and the Startup Type is Automatic.

To check, navigate to Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Services.
