What autofill combination should I use for each presentation type?

Note: This page helps you choose which reference (property, properties, subject, or comps ) to use in each Canva template, by presentation type. For a buyer tour, use properties and property. For every other type (seller, buyer, CMA, property review), use subject and comps[N] instead (with property still on the repeating detail page).

The four prefix names:

  • property: one home. Goes on the detail page, which repeats once per home.
  • properties: all the homes at once. Used for a map or route in buyer tours.
  • subject: the main home: the listing, or the buyer's target home.
  • comps[N]: the comparable homes (comps[0]is the first, comps[1]the second, and so on).

The tables below give the exact set for each type, template by template. Adapt the names and page numbers to your own templates.

How to choose the reference

Two things decide it:

  1. Does the page repeat? The 1@ detail template repeats once per home, so it uses property. Cloze fills each copy with the next home.
  2. Is it a fixed page showing several homes at once: a map, or a page comparing homes side by side? Then name each home directly instead of using property  :
    • Buyer tour: properties[0], properties[1], properties[2], … (one per home, in order).
    • Every other type: subject for the main home, then comps[0], comps[1], comps[2], … for the comparables.

So property is the one home a repeating page is currently on; properties, subject, and comps name specific homes on a fixed page.

Buyer tour

This presentation is assembled from three Canva templates. The summary is one map of every home with the driving route between them, so it uses properties. The detail shows one home and repeats, so it uses property . A buyer tour has no subject home. To label the individual homes on the summary map, refer to each one by its position — the first home is properties[0] , the second is properties[1] , and so on.

Note: All three names share the middle "Tour - Residential Buyer," so Cloze pairs them. @3 puts the placeholder on page 3 of the outline.

Seller / listing presentation

This presentation is assembled from three Canva templates. The summary page compares the listing against its comparable sales side by side: the listing is subject, the first comparable is comps[0], the second is comps[1], and so on. The detail page shows one home and repeats for each, so it uses property.

Note: The side-by-side comparison is a fixed page, so it names the homes (subject, comps[N] ). The per-home detail repeats, so it uses property.

This presentation is assembled from three Canva templates, built the same way as a seller presentation. Here the subject is the buyer's target home, and the comparables are the other homes they're considering. The summary page compares them side by side: the target home is subject, the first other home is comps[0] , the second is comps[1] , and so on. The detail page shows one home and repeats for each, so it uses property.

Usually one property in depth. The subject is the property being reviewed.

Naming reminder

Part 1 is the type word: tour, seller or listing, buyer, review. The middle name must be identical across the set, or the summary/detail name must be the start of the outline name, or Cloze won't pair them.
