How do I log a text message?

Cloze has several options for logging text messages. We highly recommend using our automated options for logging text messages on both iPhone and Android

  1. Automatically logging text messages (Cloze Gold plans and above)
    • iPhone - Automatically log iMessage, SMS, iPhone calls, WhatsApp messages, and more.
    • Android - Automatically log Android text messages.
  2. Manually logging text messages (see below)

Please see below for manually logging a text message in Cloze.

Log a text by tapping on the text bubble icon.

1.) Along the top of a Person, Company, Property, Project or Deal, tap on the text bubble icon.

  1. If you tap on the mobile number, your default messaging app will open and you can send a text. The text will be logged in your timeline.
  2. If you tap on "I texted..." or "They text me...", you will be able to log a text message.

2.) When logging a text message:

  1. Type the name(s) of the contacts you sent a text to.
  2. (Optional) Add a topic.
  3. (Optional) If the text relates to another person, company, property, project, or deal, add it here. This links the message to both the contact and the selected item.

3.) Set the Type, Date, and Time of the text message.

4.) Tap on Save to log the text message.

Log a text as a quick note

You can log a text message on any Person, Company, Project or Deal. You enter the details using conversational language and Cloze will automatically detect the type of note or activity to log in the timeline.

For example you can type in...

  • I sent Peter a text about our upcoming project.  → This will log an outbound text message.
  • I sent Peter a WhatsApp about our upcoming project. → This will log an outbound text message.
  • I received a FB message from Peter about our upcoming project. → This will log an inbound text message.

1.) Along the top of a Person, Company, Project or Deal, tap on the Paper icon and enter in your text message. Tap on the checkmark to save your text.

2.) Cloze will save the text and set the type to be a Text Message. If you need to change the Type, tap Change.
