How do I search by headline?

With Cloze you can search for people based on their Cloze headline. 

Tip: Type "Help" in the search box for some search examples based on your contacts.

To search by headline keyword simply enter "headline is [your headline or headline keyword] in the search box. To see examples, please scroll to the lower section of this page.

Please note that the headline is often based on the combination of the current work history company and job title. It may also be derived from their social media profile. 

To see the headline tap on any contact. To make a change please tap on edit in the upper right corner of the screen.

To make changes to the Headline, tap on edit in the upper corner.  If the headline is grayed out you can either type in your own headline, or scroll down to the Work History section and make changes as necessary. 

Tap on the edit icon next to any Work History item you would like to change and tap on save to update the contact profile. 

Please note the work history and company position will display in the contact profile headline by default.

Here are a few examples of searching by headline.

Notes:

  • You can search by keyword ("Headline is CEO") or phrase "Headline is Founder and CEO".
  • You can add operators to further narrow your search like "Headline is founder and works near boston".
  • Tap on the funnel icon and then tap on the various filters and sorts to narrow your list.


Example Headline Search:
"Headline is CEO" returns all people with "CEO" in their headline.

Tip: If you search for "Headline is Chief Executive Officer", Cloze will also return headlines with "CEO" in them. Cloze will do this for many different titles.  

Example Headline Search:
"Headline is founder and CEO" returns all people with "CEO" and "Founder" in their headline.

Example Headline Search:
"Headline is founder and works near boston" returns all people with "founder" in their headline and their location is set to a location in the Greater Boston area.
