How do I automatically send birthday emails?
The Cloze Campaigns feature is included as part of the Cloze Business Platinum Plan.
Cloze can automatically send birthday emails on your behalf using a Campaign. When the birthday arrives, Cloze will send an email using a template and your real email.
Set up your Birthday Campaign
1.) Tap on the Library icon (it looks like a stack of paper) on the left side menu.
If you don't see the Library icon:
On your computer:
- Tap on More in the lower left on your computer (cloze.com).
- Select Template Library.
2.) In the search bar at the top, search for "Birthday".
3.) Tap on the Birthday template under Custom Fields to select it and then tap on the campaign icon.
Note: If you do not see Birthday under Custom Fields, you will need to enable the reminder for the custom field. Tap here to jump to that part of the article.
4.) Select one of the following options:
- Automate As-Is: Automate sending the existing template
- Edit and Automate: Edit the template before automating it
5.) Make any changes to your template and then tap on Save. Save to My Library.
6.) Once you automate the birthday email, you will see that the email will be sent on the "Birthday" date (a) and then you will see the email template being used at the bottom (b).

Enable the reminder on the Birthday custom field
1.) To enable the reminder, start by going into your Cloze settings.
- Tap on More in the lower left on your computer (cloze.com).
- Select Settings.

2.) Under Customizations, tap on Custom Fields and then tap the gear icon next to People.

3.) Find the Birthday custom field in the list and then tap the gear icon.

4.) Next to Anniversary, tap on the dropdown and select Day of Anniversary.

5.) Next to Template, toggle ON Anniversary Follow Up.

6.) Tap on Save.
