How do I edit a personal email template?

Personal Email templates can be edited in two primary ways:
  1. Within the email composer
  2. In the Template Library

Edit with the Email Composer

1.) Tap on the Compose icon in the upper right.

2.) Tap on Send Mail.

3.) Tap on the template icon in the lower right corner of the template composer.

4.) Search for and select the template you wish to use/make changes to.

5.) Make any updates to your email.

6.) When you have finished making your changes, tap on the template icon again.

Tips:

  • Cut and paste as plain text - If you are cutting and pasting content into Cloze it is recommended that you paste as plain text and then use the various options to format your email. This will ensure that your email is formatted correctly on the widest number of email clients.
  • Formatting and images - Cloze offers many formatting options along the bottom of the email composer on cloze.com (web app) and tablet. Please click here for a full list of formatting options.
  • Use links instead of attachments - You can attach files to templates, but instead, we recommend using links to documents (with Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc..). With this approach, Cloze will alert you if someone clicks on your link to view the document.

7.) Then tap on the Update button next to the template that you've just updated. This will save the changes you made to the template.

Edit in the Template Library

Depending on your customizations the Library may be accessible through the More menu or you will see it directly along the left side of the screen (or along the bottom of the screen on a tablet).

You can filter the Library to only display Personal Email templates.

Tap on the funnel icon and then select Personal Email.

1.) Search for the template.

2.) Tap on the template to select it.

3.) Tap on Edit or the pencil icon in the upper right.

4.) After making your changes, tap on Review and then select the appropriate library to save.
