How do I edit template settings?
Use the template settings to set a variety of controls for the template including the theme, layout, edit controls, intended us, sending defaults and more.
1.) Navigate to the Template Library
Please note you may see the Library on the left-hand screen navigation. If not follow the instructions below to access the More menu and then select the Template Library.
- Tap on More in the lower left on your computer (cloze.com).
- Select Template Library.
2.) Select the template and tap on Edit.
- Search for the marketing template by name or the content of the template.
- Tap on the marketing template.
- Tap on Edit or the pencil icon in the upper right.
3.) Select Template.
Template theme
- Set the template theme (parent theme or a layered theme) - use the parent theme or pick one of the layered themes. Layered themes are included with Platinum Plus and allow you to create other themes that can be quickly applied.
- Ignore the parent theme
Layout
- Add Personal Intro - add a space in front of the template for a personal note.
- And Personal Afterword - add a space after the template for a personal note.
- Overall alignment - align the template left, right, or center
Edit Controls
- Template Locked - lock the entire template so only members of the marketing team (or similar role) can make changes
- Theme Locked - lock the theme of the template so only members of the marketing team (or similar role) can make changes
- Intended Use - Set Building Block, New Mail, New Template, or Property Template.
Send Defaults
- Add tags - Added protection to limit delegated sending for a template to a specific tag
- Set a RE - to include properties with the specified tag
- Re Tag Matching Limit - limit the number of properties
- Measure As - set an Activity Measure (applies to templates only -- not blocks)
Ghostwriter
Set a target audience to help the Ghostwriter when summarizing.
Multi-Language Template
Use the language set in the template if a recipient's language is not known or the template doesn't have sections specific to their language.
